Ohio’s Ken Blackwell, of all people, appeared on Hannity & Colmes to resurrect the voter fraud meme that was so popular on the network in 2004, only to be dropped the instant Bush was re-elected.

In this interview, Hannity and Blackwell (whose controversial history was not disclosed to viewers of the “We report. You decide” network) made a deliberate effort to suggest Obama would be connected to the fraudulent efforts. Of course, there was no discussion about voter caging, voter suppression, purging of voter rolls or vote tampering.

On FOX and Friends yesterday, Brian Wilson interviewed people at a diner in PA about the bailout failure yesterday and the financial crisis in general. He then asked for a show of hands in an impromptu presidential vote.

Watch Jon Stewart slam Sean Hannity for lobbing a series of softball questions at Sarah Palin that were clearly designed to give the governor a chance to attack Democrats.  When it comes to journalism, FOX is as hard-hitting as an infomercial!

Last Friday we launched FOX Attacks Obama Just Like Kerry, a video documenting how FOX is recycling the smears it used to sink John Kerry in 2004 in order to malign Barack Obama.  But of course, in the warped world of FOX where Muslim is the new French, words like “Ivy Leaguer,” “liberal,” and “elitist” are just the tip of the slanderous iceberg.

Yesterday FOX showed a shot of Obama discussing the economy in Flint, Michigan, but it’s impossible to tell what he was actually talking about since FOX jammed him in between screens of the OJ Simpson trial and Hurricane Ike. As MoveOn’s Adam Green noted, FOX definitely engaged in race-baiting here.  But it’s a racist smear like no other.

By presenting Obama in this way, FOX achieved the sinister goal of suggesting that Obama is no better than Simpson, and will wreak as much havoc as a natural disaster slamming into America.  After all, the FOX anchor goes from talking about whether jurors can call OJ a murderer to a passing mention of Obama to the number of people Ike has already killed in Cuba—and she does it with a smile.

This is the kind of clip I want to show every liberal politician who goes on FOX News in the hopes of luring some of the 88% of the network’s viewers who supported Bush in 2004, including Obama.  Because by infusing their news with subliminally racist messages like the one in this clip, FOX completely undermines Obama’s four-part appearance on The O’Reilly Factor this week.  After all, who can remember Obama’s economic populism or any of his platforms when OJ is back in the news?

FOX News Democrat Kirsten Powers gushes over Sarah Palin as “the embodiment of feminism. We should be excited about her candidacy even if you don’t support her.” Power is just the latest FOX News Democrat to overlook Palin’s radical views, the corruption investigation pending against her, the many falsehoods she has told about her record, her ties to an Alaska secessionist group and the hypocrisies in her personal life while reiterating the GOP talking points.

Did you see Barack Obama go on The O’Reilly Factor last night-right into the belly of the beast? While we didn’t want Obama to appear on FOX initially, he wisely chose the same night John McCain delivered his RNC speech (the same night FOX received some of its highest ratings) to make an appearance. Talk about stealing the GOP’s thunder!

Obama was no doubt trying to appeal to conservative voters, since 88% of FOX viewers voted Republican in 2004. But FOX won’t let their conservative base go without a fight. That’s why O’Reilly needled and interrupted Obama, trying to get him to simplify many of his answers-a far cry from the softballs O’Reilly lobbed at many prominent Republicans like Rudy Giuliani in the past. And that’s why FOX has been attacking Obama with the same relentless smear tactics that they used against John Kerry four years ago. Watch them use the exact same attacks.

Don’t let FOX repeat its history of distortions. Send this video to everyone you know! And get a copy to networking sites like Digg as soon as possible. Make sure everyone knows that FOX is always willing to distort, slander, and smear-whatever it takes to advance their conservative agenda.

Here is a little taste of things to come this election season.

The bottomless fount of hilarity that is Bill O’Reilly has erupted once again. After MSNBC displayed humorous text on screen during a story about John McCain’s inability to remember how many houses he owns, Bill O’Reilly went nuts declaring that it was…

“…one of the most outrageous things that I’ve ever seen in my 35 years of journalism.”

Never mind that O’Reilly hasn’t spent 35 seconds in journalism, he still selectively ignores the much more offensive (and not humorously intended) examples of Fox News’ broadcasts:

Less than 24 hours after John McCain announced Sarah Palin as his VP pick, Fox News lies about her history. This is not a good sign — lying about the GOP pick, ALREADY?!
